It is a known fact to everyone that Kanye West is a big fan of Louis Vuitton, last Friday at the Louis Vuitton Spring 2009 menswear show in Paris’ Jardins de Bagatelle he disclosed that he’s collaborating on a men’s shoe line for the brand. Kanye was rocking head to toe his own designs that night (Pastelle?) and also mentioned that his women’s line will be released in fall. More info forthcoming.
Tomorrow in CT Mi Gente Clothing and Salvin Shoes is hosting “Sucks My Kicks! Sneaker Battle”. This event is open to all ages but just make sure to rock your flyest kicks! With the fashion world descending on Barcelona this week, Jordan Brand has a little surprise. On July 3rd, they will premier a model of the Jordan VII inspired by the art of Juan Miro. The VII was on the feet of MJ during the ‘92 Dream Team gold medal run, so fittinlngly makes an appearence in the city of that historic moment. Opium Barcelonawill play host to the event, which begins promptly at 7:30 pm. (via Guillotine).
The Nike 1World project already saw interesting releases in its first month with Air Force 1’s by Busy P, Nitro Microphone Underground and Rasheed Wallace. The July release seems to be the real banger though. First images of an Air Force 1 designed by artist Kaws started surfacing months ago and rumors in the Internet started on whether it will actually be coming out. Well, it is and very soon.
The Air Force 1 designed by Kaws comes in black and features neon yellow accents on the laces, transparent sole as well as in the form of Kaws cross eyes on the stitching and the tongue tag. A very clean sneaker that will be flying out of the shelves faster than you can look.

The much anticipated KCDC x Neckface x Vans Chukka Low is about to be released and today we can finally show you a proper image. The Brooklyn based skate shop got together with the artist and Vans to work on their newly released Chukka Low.
“The uppers of the sneakers feature ‘Face’s artwork as well as his highly-recognizable tag that has terrorized billboards and buildings in NYC. The sneakers are limited to 100 pairs, and can only be purchased at the KCDC shop in BK.” Via Complex.
Something to look out for!
Cazal sunglasses have created a big movement and have become collector pieces among eyewear afficionados. Today we certainly see a huge trend towards vintage eyewear again, especially of eyewear coming from the 70’s and 80’s. Even though Cazal has never really been gone, the brand has come back strong in recent months. Their Dita collaboration has been really well received, but their vintage pieces still generate most interest.
This year they are presenting a Vintage Collection, which consists of the 901, 904 and 946 model, each coming in classic colorways. Via Openers.

Better late then never! The BKRW collaboration t-shirt series continues with this Crooks & Castles t-shirt. The iconic Crooks Medusa got the BKRW treatment and comes in a purple/pink colorway with both logos on the scarf.

After previously presenting you the black and lavender colorways of the Nike Blazer High x Dave’s Quality Meat, we show you the third and last colorway today. This time it comes in a grey colorway with purple accents. Once again they used the safari print all-over the sneaker and added some gold details on the back heel, while keeping the midsole clean in all white. Via Sneakernews.
