A look into Gucci’s 2009 spring collection of footwear unveils some new updated designs of their own Native American-inspired sneaker as well as some more conservative styles. Next year’s collection sees the high-top style updated with patent leather and skirt while other models include patent loafers and traditional lace-ups.

ALIFE, in conjunction with Reebok, will be introducing a new collection, the Designed in NYC – Series 1, this Saturday, June 12th. The collection marks the first time that 4 classic Reebok models, the ERS 5000 for men, the Ventilator, the Pro Legacy Mid and the Freestyle High for women, will be made entirely out of canvas uppers. To further enhance the durability on the gritty streets of New York, each of the canvas uppers are treated with DuPont’s Teflon formula for stain and water resistant.
The Men’s ALIFE x Reebok – Designed in NYC Series 1 (seen above) will feature the ERS 5000 in 3 colorways of white/yellow, grey/blue plus black/red. First launched 1993, the ERS 5000 can trace its product lineage to the class ERS (Energy Return System) to the must have classics of the 1980s, the ERS 1000 and 2000.
The Women’s ALIFE x Reebok – Designed for NYC Series 1 will also consist of classic Reebok models. But instead of one, the ladies will have three: Ventilator, Pro Legacy Mid and Freestyle High. The 3 highlight original intents they were made for: running, basketball and aerobics. In black, grey, or white, with speckle/paint splatter pattern on each’s sole and laces.
All 6 will have leather lined ankle collars and insole. Rounding off the collection, each will come with 3 additional lace and a lace bag for storage. In addition, a matching set of limited ALIFE Ball Out Logo t-shirts will be available as well.
The collection will be available this Saturday, July 12th, at the 4 ALIFE boutiques. A few selected boutiques will have the collection (excluding the t-shirts) next Saturday, July 19th.
