Obey x Upper Playground Obama Hope Hoodie

After successfully securing the Democratic nomination for the 2008 US Presidential Election, things are in full force from all of Obama’s legions of celebrity supporters. From mass middle-name changes to Hussein (Obama’s middle name) to artist backings on multiple levels, Obama has captured the support of many. Obey and Upper Playground have issued this latest hoodie which incorporates Shepard Fairey’s signature Obama print created earlier on in the presidential hopeful’s campaign. Featuring both a chest and back print, the hoodie is available now at ObeyGiant.com with proceeds aiding Obama’s cause but most likely not helping out to erase Hilary Clinton’s 20-some million dollars in campaign debt.

Nike Air Max 90 – Black / White | White / Black

This latest pair of Nike Air Max 90’s is presented in a yin-yang-esque style. The two styles consists of black and white and is accompanied by a perforated upper, detailed panels, and a light mesh tongue. A solid release two-toned release by Nike that captures the shape of the Air Max 90 and pairs it with simple colors like black and white. Now available at Overkill.

Nike SB 2009 Spring Collection Footwear Preview

With Nike SB’s catalog being revealed earlier this week, shots of the physical samples are now available giving viewers a good look at what to expect forthcoming here. The most notable new release includes the low-cut Zoom Air Veloce while the P-rod II is yet to be retired and will continue on for 2009 spring.

Flying Lotus x Weezy

It seems like everyone and their mothers have spat a couple bars over the beat to Lil Wayne’s hit track Milli. No one dared to tamper with Bangladesh’s expertly constructed beat deciding to merely remix the song by adding new lyrics. Nevertheless, LA based producer Flying Lotus has released a remix of Milli that flips the script by dramatically altering the beat while Wayne’s verses are left completely intact. The result is a pretty solid joint that has a spaced out feel, which works well with the martian MC. Flying Lotus has been drawing comparisons to producers like J Dilla and Madlib based off of his album, Los Angeles— some new music definitely worth checking out.

T19 x Stussy Naomi

Continuing with Stussy’s collection of collaboration sunglasses, T19 is the latest to participate in the capsule of eyewear. Known as Japan’s premier skate and fixed gear crew, their design includes a focus around blue with blue frames and lenses with a mash-up logo seen on the frame arms. Available now at Ginzi’s Choice.

Air Jordan Countdown Pack 4 | 19

The newest Countdown Pack part of the Air Jordan Collezoine campaign is the 4 + 19 combination. The crowd favorite Air Jordan 4’s will come in the proven classic Black/Cement Grey/Fire Red colorway, and the newer 19’s will be in a similar colorway of Black/Chrome/Varsity Red. This pack will be will be available starting July 19th.

Mike Shinoda x DC Shoes Remix Series

Linkin Park and Fort Minor’s Mike Shinoda has not been well known for his designs; even though he has designed all of LP’s branding and started his career attending the Art Center College of Design in California. This being his 2nd project with DC Shoes the MSDC series will consist of the Xanders and the Prides, both designed in a similar traditional Japanese motif. Shinoda’s artwork is seen through out the insides and outsides of the shoes, along with traditional Japanese patterns and Koi scales. These shoes will be first showcased at the Japanese American National Museum on July 11th; and later will be sold together with a limited edition booklet of Mike’s artwork starting August 1st.

Dissizit x Crooks & Castles

Once again LA natives Crooks & Castles and Dissizit get together. This time they created a snake t-shirt design, coming on several colorways of t-shirts. The purple colorway is limited to 100 pieces and only available at the Crooks flagship store and the Dissizit Online Store.
