Earlier this year L.A. Gear announced that the once popular brand from the late 80s and early 90s would be making a comeback in collaboration with retailer Sportie LA. After that announcement which seems like a lifetime ago we finally get a look at some of the designs being released. L.A. Gear and Sportie LA used a few of the L.A. Gear original models such as the  LA Gear Fire, LA Gear Star Shooter, and the LA Gear K.A.J and just revamped the sneakers with fresh new materials and color schemes. The sneakers still carry that nostalgic vibe they once did years ago.

The L.A. Gear Fall/Winter 2008 Collection is available now at Sportie LA flagship locations as well as in their online store. Hit the jump to check out pictures of all the sneakers available now and watch for L.A. Gear and Sportie LA to be adding more in the feature.

Nike Dunk Low GS – White / Black / Purple

13 12 2008

Nike Dunk Low GS - White / Black / Purple

Are you looking for something in a small size that is extremely unique? Do you have an obsession with cows or cattle? If you answered “yes” to either of those questions, we have the right sneaker for you. This pair of Nike Dunk Low’s will be released in gradeschool sizes during the Spring of 2009. The most obvious and eye-catching feature of this Nike sneaker is the cow print seen on the sidepanels and the mudguard. Another key aspect of this pair is the use of the color purple to accent the white and black base. This purple color seems to be a representative of the logo of Cadbury, a worldwide milk chocolate producer. Lastly, this pair includes black lace locks with “2009″ written on them in the shape of a bull’s horns. Though not officially released yet, you can scoop up your pair at Atmos.

Nike “Huarache” Air Force 1 – Purple / Black

Nike "Huarache" Air Force 1 - Purple / Black

Last month, we gave you a preview of Nike’s newest hybrid to add to their line, the Nike “Huarache” Air Force 1. That pair yielded a simple white on white colorway which was seen as a neutral sneaker and not anything too special. This colorway adds a little more style and uniqueness to your wardrobe with the use of the rare color combo of purple and black. This sneaker features a purple leather upper, a white Nike swoosh, and a seamless black suede toebox. As many have noticed by now, this hybrid features a lot more of the Nike Air Force 1 (One) design rather than the Nike Air Huarache’s. To make up for this one-sidedness, Nike has added the Air Huarache logo onto the purple suede tongue. There is no word yet on an exact release date, but expect to see these sometime in 2009. 13 12 2008

Nike worked together with fashion designer Vinti Andrews on a series of windrunners. The designer reconstructed the classic Nike windrunner, using different kinds of colors and fabrics and added large 3M parts to it. The outcome is a series of unique pieces. On top of the windrunners, she also designed a matching Nike totebag. Via Milk.

Have a more detailed look at the windrunners and check out the tote bag after the jump.

Sugarcraft’s (formerly known as Cake) Holiday collection has already started hitting stores. The new collection consists of new tees, and crewnecks. They also brought back the Models Love Cake tee, and gave it the royal treatment. They used foil for the text in different colours, and also increased the number of screens used to print the models from three to fifteen. The added screenage let them print the full range of blacks, whites, and grays to deliver a high quality photo print even on tricky shirt colors like the holiday green.

Check out the lookbook after the jump.

Back last September, Alife opened up shop in Los Angeles on Fairfax. The store has since closed, and has moved to downtown Hollywood at Space 15 Twenty, a shopping center curated by Urban Outfitters.  It was created so that Urban Outfitters could collaborate with those creative brands they found interesting  and inspiring. Here we have some images of the new store.
