DC Life Xander TX Fluorescent Lime

With a predominantly Fluorescent Lime upper, the model features hits of Silver and Orange on the tongue and side panel. The bold color scheme certainly invokes the comparison to Nike’s ‘Tennis Ball’ Hyperdunk, but the DC release twists the classic skate shoe silhouette into the mix. No word on an official released date, but keep your eyes peeled for more information as we get closer to 2010.

DC x Royalefam “Circus Of Mutants” Pack

Previewed in Vegas, we now have the official info on the first collaboration between DC and renowned Singaporean design collective RoyaleFam. The co-op boasts three shoes, a pair of board shorts, two t-shirts and two hats all designed by SBTG. The design inspiration comes from the legendary skateboard crew called the “Circus of Mutants” who were famous in Singapore in the 80’s and 90’s. While SBTG himself was not a member of this crew he was chosen to tell the story of the “Circus”. This crew included “The Fly” (along with other local legends “The Bat”, “Scorpion”, and “Frankenstein”) and as such the first installment of the “Circus of Mutants” is based on Singaporean legend Lucas Ng – “The Fly”. The collection will officially hit select skateboarding stores worldwide in January 2010.

Lemar & Dauley x DC Shoes Spring 2009 Xander

The third in a series of collabs between DC and New York’s Lemar and Dauley: The Lemar and Dauley Xander.

The muse for the Summer 2009 Lemar and Dauley Xander was racquet sports—inspiration was pulled from tennis and the equipments used. The tennis racquet became a source of inspiration, along with both the clay and grass courts that are used as the playing field. Special attention to detail led to the utilization of a mesh material on the side panels and tongue of the Xander as a reflection of the interlocking strings used within the racquet. The houndstooth detail served as an iconic brand logo, much like the branded logos printed on tennis racquet strings, while the clear sole of the shoe reflected the nylon material used to make the cords. In the final details, leather trim was used around the edges as well as under the sole of the shoe to represent the leather taping around the handle of the racquet. The insoles were printed with an abstracted graphic of the playing field itself to provide a complete story.

Both colorways drop May 1st at select DC LIFE retailers worldwide.

DC Shoes x Kendo – The Spruce Double Label Retailer Project

DC and influential women’s sneaker retailer, Kendo, have paired to introduce the first women’s sneaker in DC’s Double Label™ Retailer Project– The Spruce Kendo.

A woman’s ever evolving sense of style was Kendo’s inspiration for the unique colorway. The shoe features different reptile skins that have been applied with a lenticular technique to create the impression of an ever changing look. They then paired the animal print with opulent gold, tan and copper colors, and added red for an edgy color pop with the Kendo logo featured on the heel as well as printed on the insole.

Update: UNDFTD Japan x New Balance H574J Man vs Wild Pack

Bear Grylls hosts the Discovery Channel’s Man vs Wild, a series in which Grylls demonstrates how to survive almost anywhere. The show has caught the eye of Eddie Cruz of Undefeated. The Man vs Wild Pack uses the colors of the outdoors and nature to design the H574J, a hybrid sneaker fusing the M574 and H710. The mixture of this two designs yields the Man vs Wild Pack which features two styles both consisting of colors representing elements and a camouflage print. Both will be available on December 20th at Undefeated Japan. Retail is approximately $160 USD. Via Stussy JP.

DC Shoes Artist Series Project | SSUR WR

DC introduces the limited edition SSUR WR—the third collaboration in the DC Artist Projects™ series with New York artist SSUR.

SSUR’s shoe serves as creative outlet to express his perspective of a cautionary tale against war. The shoe features a variety of warfare camouflages, each inspired from different nations and regions around the world. The climax is revealed on the inside of the shoe: an image of a rising mushroom cloud printed on the insole. The final touch on the artist’s vision is the water resistant materials, a functional feature that comes thanks to DC’s technical footwear craftsmanship.

DC Life Collection x atmos

atmos has been very active over these past few month teaming up with the likes of New Balance, Puma and DC. The DC Life Collection links up the popular sneaker company with the retailer to present four styles, two DW1 and two CM1. The DW1 are made up of tiger camoflauge paired teal and pink accents. However, the CM1 offers a more dressed down style consisting of red, white and blue canvas. Other highlights include lace-locks, signatures on the tongue and designs on the sole and in-sole. The DC Life Collection  atmos will be available soon at ANVT/GRDE.
