Cassette Playa 2010 Spring/Summer: Power Drift Nation

Fast becoming an icon of British fashion, Carri Munden never ceases; fresh from recent collaborations with the likes of Stussy, Nike and Phenomenon, the designs keep coming with this latest collection for Cassette Playa, entitled “Power Drift Nation”. As always, Cassette Playa transports you to another intriguing world which invites exploration. This time we’re taken Eastward to discover a fantasy land rife with eroticised urban power racing which, In Carri’s own words is “dune gone dubstep”. The aesthetic is familiar, with a splurge of different materials, symbols and colours. Signature digital prints on silk, lycra and more sit alongside woven patches and unique cuts, all complete with modified Arabic hieroglyphs and text. Power Drift Nation has already been presented in New York, where these videos by Weirdcore were shot. The collection is scheduled for release Spring/Summer 2010.

REBEL8 ‘09 Winter Lookbook

The Bay Area’s own REBEL8 showcase their Winter collection with the help of five friends, including Benny Gold, and their designer, Mike Giant. The lookbook reveals a range of new products such as t-shirts, New Eras, and some cut and sew pieces including shirts, jackets, and zip hoodies. The collection has already started hitting retailers and will be available through REBEL8’s website shortly.

Stampd’ LA 2009 Holiday Collection

Stampd’ LA & Hypebeast give us a look its footwear collection for Holiday 2009. Featured are three styles including its Black Slow, Grey Jam, and Featherd’, all utilizing Stampd’s traditional mix of leather, suede and canvas uppers. Each style was produced in limited quantities, equipped with leather lining, leather toe cap and smoothed rubber vulcanized sole. They are now available via select retailers worldwide as well as the Stampd’ LA online store.

Mighty Healthy Online Store

After New York City’s Mighty Healthy launched their new website earlier this year, giving their supporters, both old and newly acquired, a better look into the brand and the folks behind it. Now, after much anticipation, the site finally launched its online store. Currently featuring the label’s seasonal graphic tees including three new additions exclusive to Mighty Healthy’s might new web shop, one of the three tees feature the same graphics found on the label’s Fall 2009 skate decks– “I Loved NY Before You Moved Here & Made It Suck”. Those who don’t skate but love that sassy proclamation can sport the saying as well. Do check out the new web shop and keep visiting for more items such as denim and accessories to come.
