New Balance x 686: The NB686 Super Nova Collection

New Balance and 686’s innovative partnership scheme, we see the creation that cradles the lines of both the sneaker and snowboard world. The high-tech performance offerings of 686 can be seen adapted for use in some interesting mediums on New Balance’s iconic and once Japanese-market exclusive MT580 as well as apparel. However to further highlight the collection, New Balance and 686 also set forth in creating the NB686 Super Nova Collection, a boxset limited to 20 pieces was also created which features a jacket, New Era cap, and limited edition NB686 boot and sneaker for display purposes.

The concept of this sneaker is to be futuristic and it boldly conveys that concept without it being too over. The color combination is simple with metalic silver upper dominating most panels and accented with perforation through out. Details are colored with flat purple on laces, midsole, inner lining, inner sole and on tags.  The only indication of the three brand collaboration is printed in white on the purple inner sole in their respected logo fonts. This model will be available from Saturday November 21st and atmos is taking pre orders right now.

SNS x New Balance RGB Pack

The pack gets its name from the colorways of each shoe, which follow in red, green, and blue, respectively. The red M577 uses a red premium leather and suede upper with perforated toebox and 3M accents. The green M1500 follows suit with the leather, suede, and mesh, but in green and grey, along with 3M piping. The blue M1700 uses an organic man made material ripstop upper in blue with yellow accents. There’s no word on an exact release date, except to expect it later this year.

Stussy x UNDFTD x realMad Hectic New Balance MT580 “Full Metallic Jacket” Collection | More Images

As we come closer to the release of the Stussy x Undefeated x realMad Hectic New Balance MT580 “Full Metal Jacket” project, we can show you some new images of the sneaker pack. The MT580 comes in black, silver and gold, all three featuring a perforated patent leather upper and a camouflage lining. The fading sole design is also a nice detail, making the pack an overall instant winner. The pack officially released on April 29th. Via Deepinside Inc.

Atmos x New Balance CM996 AB Rainbow

Atmos hooks up with New Balance to work on the CM996. The outcome is a wildly colored rainbow sneaker, which features houndstooth patterns, rainbow patterns and overall a multitude of colors  and materials. The tongue tag comes oversized, reading “Atmos”.

FRAT x mita sneakers x New Balance MT576S Bamboo Rake

The folks over at FRAT and mita sneakers have teamed up to design a new pair of New Balance MT576S which glow in the dark and feature some unique graphics. Though at first glance the sneaker looks fairly simple, the intricacies of this pair lie within the details. For example, the whole upper glows in the dark and the tongue has an extremely unique graphic stitched onto it. When not in the dark, the New Balance MT576S Bamboo Rake yields a white upper with a purple inner lining and a grey speckled midsole. Whether you are a fan of the glow in the dark component or just like the MT576S model itself, this pair is definitely worth taking a second look at.

New Balance Fall 2009 Sneaker Preview | MT580 Gradient, H574, 996

Today we can give you an early look at some intersting upcoming limited edition sneaker styles from the New Balance Fall 2009 collection. Gore-Tex is coming back next season with several gradient styles. Also they introduce some new horsehair sneakers, Indian inspired packs and just overall soild colorways on their classic running shoes. Via Streething.

New Balance Spring 2009 996 | Candy Pack & Pantone Pack

We give you some more detailed information about the New Balance Spring 2009 996’s to be released. There will be a Candy Pack, which are the two sneakers on the top above. One is inspired by M&M’s and the other one is inspired by the silver foil that wraps chocolate bars.

The second pack, consisting of the two bottom sneakers of the image above, is the Pantone Pack. Both feature color swatches on the back heel and the red gradient design is also very interesting. The white one comes with a multicolor design. All colors used on these sneakers, are actually referenced on the heel. Pretty interesting for sure. Via RR.

New Balance MTG580 ‘Outdoor Jacket’

Here we have a new pack from New Balance. Taking cues from technical outdoor jackets, the pack consists of three MTG580s, each using materials such as Gore-Tex, and bungee laces. The pack is set to drop in January 2009 in Asia.

UNDFTD Japan x New Balance H574J Pack

New Balance’s latest project surrounds UNDFTD Japan and a pack of the H574J. Eddie Cruz of Undefeated designs the two H574J with nature in mind. Each color represents an element in nature. For example, beige for sand and rocks, blue and purple for the sky and sunset, orange for the sun and so. He also looks  to the make up of footwear of the late 80’s and early 90’s with the use of the H574. Each model consists of an outdoorsy look with Cruz’ Undefeated touch to make them his own. Both are scheduled to be released at UNDFTD Japan soon. Via Being Hunted.
