Hong Kong-based famous artist and toy designer, Michael Lau, worked with Nike to come up with this very unique China BMX Blazer. The shoes come in “Chinese” colors with yellow all around and red shoelaces and insole. It has great details such as the flares of the sun drawn on the sides, and the year 20-08 on the left and right shoe separately. It comes with a vinyl biker figure and his bike, all in a special box that seems to be covered with dirt. No word on when this will be released but stayed tuned for more details.

By now you probably already know that BMX will be an officialy sport in this year’s Summer Olympics held in Beijing that will open on August 8th. Part of the reason some of you might know this is because of the effort Nike has put behind their marketing campaign around the Nike SB BMX Pack that consists of some Blazer’s and Dunk’s. At the centerpiece of this collection is the Michael Lau designed China Blazer as well as his vinyl toy and special box. Brookly Projects, was the host of the Nike SB BMX Launch Event, and gave away Lau’s box and vinyl toy to some of it’s esteemed guests which included one of Nike SB’s founders, Sandy Bodecker, and BMX legend, Matt Hoffman. via Quality Control

The turn-out could have been predicted. Loud colors, lots of graphics and details. Not everybody will be into this, but it will for sure find its customer. Pics via Streething.
After the jump detailed images of all three sneakers in the pack.
