Herschel Supply Co. has certainly come a long way since its early days of basic colors and its core bag silhouettes. Consistently blending the pining for the great outdoors and a sense of urban liberation with the aesthetic tenants of traditional accessory goods and heritage garb, the Canadian brand seems to grow more mature in its identity, season-after-season. From color blocked canvases to all-over print patterns, 2013 sees the label experimenting with various nature influences to elevate its staple pieces for spring. One of the notable themes from its Spring 2013 Bad Hills collection arrives via the “Bird Print” range. As the title implies, Herschel layers the Little America, Novel Duffle and Woodlands Backpack in a muted natural undertone hue with a bold matif of pirched birds. Tan leather accents and brushed brass hardware complete the seasonal look, while a customary embroidered Herschel Supply Co. tag along the anterior panels round things out.

Bruno Mars premiered the official music video for his second single off “Unorthodox Jukebox”, the piano-led ballad, “When I Was Your Man”. It’s too simple to even say something about it, as he’s just singing along the playback while playing the piano, in front of a blue setting. The only thing I can comment on, is his terrible hair styling and them glasses. I will forgive him though, ‘cause the music is pure brilliance.
Rag & Bone has slowly but surely been making a name for itself with its tasteful and classic offerings. It combines a preference for upscale designs with an aggressively youthful spirit, and the result comes off as effortless, but never thoughtless or overbearing. In short, many applaud it for its wearable nature. The brand has just unveiled a peek into what it has in store for Fall/Winter 2013, and no expectations were left unrequited, nor a hem spared. Featuring modern classics throughout, no doubt informed by British sensibilities, the brand proposes peacoats, trousers, and woolen shirts, all rather dapper in their boldly muted coloring. Look for the Rag & Bone 2013 Fall/Winter collection soon.

Hedi Slimane left Dior Homme in 2007 and ever since concentrated on his photography career. He left when Dior Homme had become a highly successful line for the Dior House and people were hoping for him to return into fashion eventually.
Now according to WWD, sources are saying that just that might happen very soon. Apparently Slimane is about to take over th helm at Yves Saint Laurent, currently headed by designer Stefano Pilati.
